I'm lucky to have grown up in the intersection of several cultures. My family is from Iran, I grew up in China, and I was born in the United States (and have now lived here for the last decade). I am also an Australian citizen, and consider Perth, Australia to be one of my many homes. I've also spent about a year in Southern Africa, and a semester in Egypt studying Arabic at the American University in Cairo. I speak English, Mandarin Chinese and Persian (aka Farsi), as well as a little bit of Arabic.
